Scribble Two by jmtb02 Studios is one of those really unique games that is lots of fun whether you’re amazing at it, just OK at it, or terrible at it.

Scribble Two is all about connecting numbered dots. The object is to move a pencil from numbered dot to numbered dot as quickly as possible. There are 20 levels, each of which is a different dot formation that you must complete. Connecting a point to the incorrect next point will force you to start the level over. At the end of the game, your score is the total time it took you to complete all 20 formations. Each formation is an actual object which makes the game more fun as you’re actually scribbling a real drawing.

The gameplay is very good. It seemed very smooth, and everything from the level countdown to the zoom out to the new set of dots coming on the screen was clearly done with care. One aspect of the game a lot of people were disappointed with was the shifting game board. When you draw, the game board moves with you making it easier to see the specific dot you are going over. Personally, I liked this feature. I thought it was well done, didn’t really interfere with gameplay, and made it easier to draw. However, something I did have a problem with was the guidance arrow. This arrow points in the direction of the dot you need to go over next. I thought it was cool, but it seemed way too big, to the point where it was in the way during the connecting of certain points.

One of the coolest aspects of the game is a gadget it contains on the ending screen. After you complete all 20 dot formations, you are brought to the end screen, where you can browse all of your completed scribbles. That was an excellent touch that made the game a lot more fun.

The music chosen for the game couldn’t have fit it more perfectly, and didn’t seem to get repetitive. I also loved the little tones that were very low, but added to the overall quality of the game.

Although I really liked the game, there are some factors I didn’t like. First, I would have loved to see some different gameplay modes like maybe a mode with 20 drawings, and an additional mode with 40. The game just seemed to be missing that one extra feature to put it over the top. Something like make your own dot formation would have put it over the top and added a ton of more value to the game.

Overall, Scribble Two is an entertaining, light game that has continued replay value because of its high score board. In addition, its gadget that allows you to see your scribbles upon completion of the game is loads of fun because you can see how good, or in my case how bad your scribbles were.
