About as boring as bumper to bumper traffic

RedCar by Games121 could have easily been a great game, but its heavily lacking gameplay and boringness only allow it to be poor.

The game contains one gameplay mode. The objective is to steer a car through a track from the start to the finish. You try to do that while saving your 10 lives. The game has a scoring system based on how quick you finish each level, but because the score is meaningless it doesn’t really encourage you to try to beat the levels faster.

The level design is very flawed. First, each level is basically the same except the track is in a different shape. About 3 or 4 of the levels have obstacles but they aren’t really a challenge. Sadly, at some points in the game the levels seem to get easier than the prior one.

The actual gameplay is pretty weak. You control the car with the arrow keys. The first problem I noticed was that you are able to turn the car even when you’re not moving. Not only is this painfully unrealistic, it makes the game way too easy at some points. The actual car physics are below average, and that’s putting it nicely. The sliding effect didn’t feel natural, and at some points you would continue to drift a tiny bit in a certain direction forever, without even hitting any keys.

In the sound department it only gets worse. Not only was the music repetitive and annoying, there was no way to turn it off. The only actual sound effect within the game seemed to be when you crash.

Overall, the game lacks any excitement because the level design is so basic. Putting the fact that the levels are simple aside, they aren’t any fun because of the bellow average gameplay. You might play the game through but the chances of not beating it on your first try are slim to none, so any kind of replay value is shot.

Who comes up with these games and thinks they're fun? :P Glad you agree :)  To be honest, part of the problem is games that aren't even fun are published on a lot of sites, and it makes the disadvantages of making an unfun game not very large being that it can get on a lot of sites. Yeah I agree, sometimes it just felt like the car kept drifting and drifting and drifting and it just wasn't any fun.
