No Brainer 2 takes a collection of simple questions and makes you answer them. The only problem is that you have a few seconds to do so each time, so get ready to kick yourself when you miss one.

No Brainer 2 offers three modes of play, but they’re all essentially the same. In the first mode you answer questions, in the second mode you answers questions that don’t fall under a certain exception, and in the third mode you try to answer ten questions as fast as possible. Regardless, each mode follows the same formula- pick a random subject (IE things that are smooth) and throw random choices at you (balls, a monkey, ice, volcanoes, etc) and you have to answer yes or no by moving the mouse side to side or up and down. For a game that bases itself on question asking it seemed to have a very small collection of answers to give you, but I suppose this makes the game harder too. You might be used to answering yes to ‘are balls smooth’ but when they give you balls as an option for another category you’ll have to think for an extra second. When you answer wrong or wait too long your brain gets fried. When the game ends your brain is weighed and you can submit it for high scores.

The graphics are nice but what really stands out in this game is the 3-d brain that follows your mouse. Seeing 3-d effects in flash is always nice. And since the brain is the only 3-d object that has to be rendered, it looks pretty good. When playing the game has a nice music track that slowly gets faster as you progress. The Einstein-like voice over is kind of cheesy but I still like it.

No Brainer 2 is sure to entertain and annoy you, but unless you’re hardcore about answering questions the appeal will probably wear off quick. Some of the questions are a little subjective though… For example, in the ‘Things I think are hot category,’ ‘Your Momma’ is a valid answer. Obviously. I guess they have to mix it up a little for you.
