Too simple |

Top Banana is the kind of puzzle game that will really only appeal to a few select hardcore puzzle players- Because unless you really like the gameplay, there’s nothing else here to keep your attention.
The premise is very simple. Cover up as many squares as you can. You start in a random position, P. Surrounding P are many squares that consists of numbers, as well as a few ‘bombs.’ You may click any square directly adjacent to P, where you will move the number of spaces on that square, in that direction. Keep moving around and covering squares without touching something you’ve covered, a wall, or a bomb. The problem with the game is that it’s not very engaging. In the lower corner is a counter telling you how many squares you have left to cover. Since everything is randomly generated it’s not like the puzzle is ever ‘solvable,’ it’s more or less just to see how many squares you can cover each time.
Graphics are as plain as can be, accompanied by a couple sound effects. What I really wanted to see though was just some other form of gameplay. Even something simple like changing how many squares the board starts at. High scores would have helped this game a lot too. On a side note I’m not really sure why the game is called Top Banana, but oh well. If little puzzles are your thing then be sure to give this a shot, but don’t be surprised if it only holds your attention for a minute or two.
