At first glance you might think this game is some sort of virtual rubix cube, but you couldn’t be more wrong. 3d Logic is a fresh injection into the puzzle genre that will have you trying to wrap your head around this multi-color cube for hours.

In 3d Logic you must connect all squares of the same color by tracing an open path between them. As always it will start out easy so you can get your feet wet, and then ramp up the difficulty. Usually the early levels are a bore, but for some reason even solving the simple puzzles gives you a sense of satisfaction. The only downside is that there is a noticeable increase in difficulty between levels as opposed to a more steady one. Once you get the hang of it you’ll speed through the first ten levels, might spend a little longer on levels 11-15, and then hit a brick wall at 16. This is where additional modes would have helped. If you get frustrated at one puzzle you’re pretty much stuck there. Good news is that it will save your progress if you want to come back to it later.

The cube itself is rendered in real-time 3d, something that’s always nice to see in a flash game. Really though, I’m not sure how this game could have been done any differently. The cube in combination with the background makes for a nice overall presentation. Sound is only present on the title screen and could have been carried over into the main game, but oh well. Put on some Beethoven or something.

There’s 30 levels here so if you find yourself a 3d logic master the experience is pretty much a one-time deal. Breaking it down by difficulty level (in different modes) or having to solve a bunch of easier puzzles in succession could have added some variety. Regardless, a great first-entry for a new take on the puzzle genre.

While the game is fun it is awfully nnoying when you get stuck on a level. This isn't a complaint about the actualy game but just a general comment on the game. The graphics are clean if nothing else and the puzzles get devilishly tricky quite quickly. I like the 3d cube idea it adds something fresh to a tried and tested game type (conecting dots) It is however this that means i don't realy like this game. Its good but to familiar.

7/10
