Whack Your Boss takes advantage of a feeling that many of us have wanted to exercise at one point or another- whacking our boss. Set in a classic “Office Space” style environment, see if you can find all sixteen ways to do your boss in for good.

For starters, Whack Your Boss isn’t exactly a deep game. In fact it’s more of an interactive animation than a game, but there is a tiny bit of challenge in finding all the hidden spots to click on. Your boss walks in to your cubicle, starts droning on about how much you should hate your life, and it’s your job to find each of the items that will end his existence. Finding an item starts a humorous (and violently over-the-top) animation of you disposing of your boss. Watch it, click the cleanup button, and go again.

The graphics are pretty sketchy, but they maintain a consistent style that makes them appropriate. No colors either, but the animations generally make up for it. A lot of animations share similar actions but there are a variety of animations to see so it’s not too repetitive. The sound department gets bonus points for the amount of spoken dialogue there is. When your boss comes in your first instinct might be to click something and kill him, but if you sit and wait he actually spews out a couple minutes worth of humorous dialogue.

The funny thing is that this ‘game’ can easily keep you entertained for about as long as a lot of other minigames out there. Only this time you don’t have to die and restart tons of times, you can just watch everything and be done. Still though, there’s not much to see here. And once you see it, seeing it again isn’t too compelling. If you’re looking for something mindless and entertaining, give this one a shot.
